WhatsApp has been rolling a native schedule control out slowly. Many India phones still do not have it. Third-party “auto WhatsApp” apps are how numbers get banned. A shop that needs Diwali at 9:00 IST or a reminder tomorrow at 10:00 should schedule on the official API, not on a sideloaded APK.

Schedule in the WhatsApp app (when you have the feature)
- Open the chat and type the message.
- Long-press the Send arrow.
- If your build supports it, tap Schedule message and pick date and time.
- Confirm. Keep the phone on and WhatsApp able to run. A killed app or a dead battery can miss the send.
If long-press only shows “View once” or nothing, your version does not have scheduling yet. Update from the Play Store or App Store. Do not install a “WhatsApp Plus” to get the button.
Workaround if the button is missing
- Write the message and leave it unsent, or save it as a Quick Reply in WhatsApp Business.
- Set a phone alarm or calendar event for the time.
- Open the chat and send. This is a reminder for you, not a scheduled send.
There is no official way to schedule a broadcast list for 9:00 tomorrow inside the Business app. That is the usual reason shops move to API.
Schedule for a business (the reliable path)
- Connect the number to Cloud API. Get WhatsApp API.
- Approve the template (marketing for offers, utility for reminders).
- In Ominiflow, create the campaign, pick the opted-in segment, set IST date and time, and leave it.
- The send does not need your laptop open. Delivery, reads, and replies land in the shared inbox.
